KIMA takes its name from Kashima, an ancient sanctuary once visited by samurai seeking clarity and protection. Its silhouette borrows directly from the West Torii. Rather than serving as a barrier, the Torii has always been a threshold marking the passage from the ordinary world into a space of complete focus.

We brought that same quiet authority into a modern context. KIMA doesn’t imitate sacred objects; it distills their grounding presence. The wide stance, heavy pillars, and perfectly balanced top beam translate the enduring strength of a shrine gate into a sharp, industrial form.
